November 2022 | IJP: Second episode of Asia Talks – Season 4: IJP Asia Talk: ‘Taiwan – Beyond the „Current Affairs“ Reporting’.
When talking about Taiwan we most often see the island only in relation to a potential growing conflict with the PCR. Currently two IJP reporters are based in Taiwan. They will share their insights on topics that often don’t make it into the German media. What drives the young generation? What about digitalisation? How is the art scene? Furthermore, we will expand on elections, recent awareness on indigenous people, reflections on the period of white terror, and the vibrant media landscape. We will have 60 minutes to discuss insights and perception on the country being under constant threat from its big neighbour. Is there normality in daily life?
